Quick update

I'm NAKing, and so typing with one hand. This will be short!

We're heading on vacation in a few short days, yay! We're going on a cruise from Florida to Italy, something we've wanted to do for a long time and have been planning since Carter was born. I will be posting as much as I can from the ship (yes, they have wifi even in the middle of the ocean!), so stay tuned for that.

Here are a few pictures from the last few days. My friend Rita and her son Sam came to visit for Easter, and I only took two pictures the entire time they were here! Fortunately, both turned out pretty well:

Both boys even cooperated nicely by going to bed and staying asleep so that Rita and I could drink wine and hang out, like we did back in the days before we had kids!

I had been thinking about getting a Learning Tower for Carter for a while. They're pricey, but he's more and more interested in being included in the kitchen these days, and cooking with him in the sling is not always the best idea. So I kept an eye on Craigslist and one finally showed up. It's not in a color I would have chosen, but it was cheaper than buying one new!

As you can see, it provides a secure platform for him to stand on at counter height, so he can watch and help out. As he gets older, we can lower the height of the platform.

Isn't that cool? You can also buy different accessories to turn it into a puppet theater and a playhouse and such.

I set the groceries on the floor this morning when we got back from the store, and wouldn't you know this is what Carter would dig out?

Finally, here is a cute video of him playing with Lucy.

His 15 month WBV is tomorrow, so I'll have a height and weight update after that.

Yes! The learning tower is great. Verena kept trying to stand up in her high chair, so we quit fighting it and she now eats every meal in the learning tower.

Have a great vacation!
