Hanging out with Nana!

My mom is here visiting this week, and it's been fun to watch Carter watch her makes funny noises and talk to him. He seems to be pretty fascinated by her! In this video below, she's talking to him and his little legs start kicking like he's riding a bike!

Mom also painted Carter's room today, something that really needed to be done. I'll post pictures when we get the furniture rearranged and some of the decorations on the walls. We're going for a safari tent look, and so I have a few more things to collect, but it's going to be cool. :-)

Carter has been struggling with some reflux in the last couple of weeks, and though he doesn't seem to be in as much pain as he was before his hernia surgery, he's recently started projectile-vomiting up milk right after being fed. :-P He still seems really uncomfortable, arching his back and spitting up, and sometimes crying all the way through his feeding. Fortunately, it hasn't affected his appetite yet. The child loves to eat! But it's not fun to see him so uncomfortable. We're trying to feed him more frequently (so he gets smaller amounts at a time) and then keep him upright afterwards. Hopefully that's going to help.

Carter has an appointment with a retina specialist in the morning. I'll post about the results of that when I can.
