Nov 16: "I sweet!"

We've passed the halfway point of NaBloPoMo! So far I've managed to post every day, yay. I have a list of topics to post about in case I'm stumped one day, but it hasn't happened yet, oddly enough. I guess I always have a lot to say about Carter!

Last night I was sitting on the floor folding laundry, and he launched himself into my lap, saying "hug!" I dropped my laundry and hugged him back, a nice long, snuggly hug, and this is what followed:

Carter: Happy!
Me: Yes, hugs make Mommy happy.
Carter: Happy, soooo happy!
Me: Yes, I'm happy.
Carter: I love you.
Me: *tears* I love you too, Carter.
Carter: I sweet!

It's funny how much he uses "I" to describe himself and his actions now!

Today was a long work day and I was away from Carter for 10 hours. It's pretty rare that I'm away from him for that long, and it's always hard. But Michelle said he was happy today, and he didn't cough or seem wheezy at all. I guess the bronchitis is officially over.

When I came in the door this evening, I was met by a happy squeal of "Mommy! Mommy!", followed by enthusiastic hugs, then "Up!" and "Milk!" That's the best part of my day. :-)

Tears for me too....so sweet!!! Children say how they feel with the sweetest and most honest words and you can see it in their face. I just love it!!! Tears from Nana!!
