Daddy's little helper

Tonight Doug was turning over the laundry, and after watching him pick up clothes from the pile of dirty laundry on the floor, Carter decided to help. He picked up pieces, one at a time, and carried them to Doug in the laundry room. He liked helping so much that he also started bringing dishcloths from a clean pile in the living room. He ran back and forth so fast that he was breathing hard!

He'd brought half of that pile to Doug before Doug finally came back into the living room with it all. I was sitting on the floor trying to fold the clean stuff, and Carter kept taking things away from me and taking them to Doug! So Doug ended up folding most of it, heh. But Carter kept bringing Doug things for another 15 minutes - blankets, toys, books, shoes, kitchen utensils -- everything he could get his hands on! And every time he would say "Thank you!" We were cracking up. :-)

How can it be the end of October already? I still don't know what Carter will be for Halloween. I'm thinking pirate, but tomorrow morning we'll go to Wal-Mart to see if there are any costumes left. I'm planning to take up trick-or-treating up the street and back, just to give him a sense of it. It should be fun!
