Dadadadada...

This is what Carter has been saying ALL day. "Dadadadada". He seems to be on a one-syllable kick. He says it instead of "Mamamama" now, and under the very same circumstances. It's making me think that the "Mamamamama" of the last couple of weeks was just a coincidence, and had nothing to do with me. :-/

He's been babbling a lot in the last couple of days, which is really interesting. He was so quiet for a couple of weeks that hearing him chatter so much is sort of strange. He also rolls all over the floor, and is incredibly wiggly. Ever since we got back from NC, his bedtime has been all screwed up. The last couple of nights, we've gotten him ready for bed between 6:30 and 7:00 as usual, but he won't go to sleep. He ends up staying up with us until about 9:00. He's right at that 37 week mark, which is famous for its sleep disruptions.

He LOVES to walk right now and will walk all around the house if you hold his hands. He takes big steps, and it's so cute! I'll try to get that on video soon.

Finally, here are a couple of pictures from tonight's dinner, during which Carter had corn on the cob for the first time. He managed to get some corn off, even though he only has the two teeth.

Try this game and see if he likes it: you say syllables, and see if he repeats them. "Mamamama," "dadadada," "gagagaga," "babababa." Sam loved playing that.
