Fun with Straws

Carter's been drinking out of a sippy cup for a while now, and he also likes to drink out of regular cups. We went out to dinner last night and I asked the waitress for a small cup of water for him, and she brought a styrofoam cup with a straw. So I let Carter try it, to see what he would do, and he figured it out pretty quickly:



Isn't that cute? I think he spit out about half the water he got out of the straw, but I'm sure it was coming up at a much faster rate than he's used to. I guess I don't have to worry about packing a sippy cup when we go out any more. :-)

Also, for some reason YouTube doesn't seem to play sound from my cell phone videos. The sound isn't important here, but that's the reason you aren't hearing it.

November is National Blog Posting Month, aka NaBloPoMo. To celebrate, people try to post in their blogs every day of the month, so that's what I'm going to do. I'm hoping that daily posting will allow me to focus more on the little details of Carter's days, something I think is missing from my posts now. It should be fun.
