It's been chilly and rainy here, so we haven't done much. Carter was sick the second night we were here, and that put a damper on things. He was fine by the next morning, but was very suspicious of everything we offered him to eat -- understandably.
On Friday we took it easy in the morning to make sure he was really okay, and then decided to head out for some sightseeing. We went to the Plaza de Mayo, which is located next to Argentina's presidential residence, the Casa Rosada. (Made famous in the musical Evita as the location from which Eva Peron sang, "Don't Cry for ME, Argentina".) Carter enjoyed chasing pigeons here!
I had no idea chasing pigeons was so much fun! We also introduced him to the idea of feeding pigeons, which he loved just as much.
Here is a cute video of him feeding the pigeons.
That's basically the highlight of that day. We got lunch after that, and then it started to rain, so we basically hung around the hotel for the rest of the day. Today was sort of similar. Michelle took Carter swimming in the hotel while Doug and I went out for lunch. We had planned to go out for dinner, but then Doug started feeling bad -- apparently he got whatever Carter had. So he stayed at the hotel and Michelle, Carter, and I went out for dinner. Carter was really enamored of his image in the mirror at the restaurant!
After that we took a taxi ride around the city to see some of the night lights in the theatre district, and then headed back to the hotel. Tomorrow we're going to Iguassu Falls, so the next post should contain some spectacular pictures!
