Flash cards

I got Carter some sets of flash cards a while back, and he LOVES them. He sorts through them and carries them around, and loves it when you flip through them fast so he can name them all. He's getting more and more of them right these days, too. I bought them with the idea they would help him start to recognize words and get a head start in reading. We'll see!

Here is a video of him telling me what's on some of his cards. He does a combination of speaking and signing here.



In the one where he's looking at a ball and saying "apple", he's signing "ball", so I think he just got a little confused, heh.

In other news, this afternoon Doug watched Carter walk to the front door, open it, and walk out into the driveway. 0_0 So yeah, we're keeping the deadbolt locked all the time from now on!
